Aamir Khan has clearly stated that the question of religious conversion never arose in any of his relationships. He spoke in detail on the issue and also presented his family's perspective.
Aamir Khan refuted all these allegations in a special interview with 'Rediff'. He said that his family has always respected different religions and cultures and they have been open-minded.
'Religious Conversion Was Never an Issue in Our Family'
The actor emphasized that there have been many interfaith marriages in his family, but no one has changed their religion for marriage. For them, mutual respect and trust are prioritized in relationships, not religion.
Gave Examples of Other Family Members
To prove his point, Aamir gave examples from his own family. He mentioned that both his sisters are married into Hindu families.
Not only that, his daughter Ira Khan also recently got married into a Hindu family.
He also shared that his cousin Mansoor Khan is married to a Christian woman, and no one has changed their religion.

Aamir clarified that none of his ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, or his current wife, Gauri Spratt, converted for marriage.
He said that all his marriages were conducted as civil marriages under the legal process. Aamir also mentioned that Gauri Spratt comes from a Christian family and has not changed her religion either.
The actor sarcastically remarked that with time, people's thinking and allegations are both becoming more ridiculous.

Aamir and Gauri's wedding took place with great simplicity at the actor's home in Mumbai. It was a private ceremony attended only by close ones.
