Around 560 young shooters from across Rajasthan are participating in this 7-day competition organized by the Rajasthan Education Department. Selected players will represent the state at the national level.
The 70th State Level Rifle Shooting Competition is being held at The Umed International School in Abu Road.
Approximately 560 students from various districts of Rajasthan are participating in this 7-day event.
Players are competing in 10m Open Rifle, Air Rifle, and Air Pistol categories.
Players selected in this state-level competition will represent Rajasthan at the national level.
Abu Road | The 70th State Level Rifle Shooting (Under 14) competition for boys and girls, organized by the RajasthanEducation Department, Bikaner, has grandly commenced. The event is being held at The Umed International School located in Abu Road.
Inauguration by MLA Samaram Garasiya
The competition began under the hospitality of MLA Samaram Garasiya. On this occasion, young players from all districts of Rajasthan appeared excited to showcase their talent.
Competition in Various Categories
In this rifle shooting competition, players are trying their luck in three main categories:
Gordhan Singh Shekhawat, convener of the competition selection committee, said that about 560 participants are taking part in this 7-day event. All these players have reached here after being selected at the district level.
Scoring with Transparency
By Friday evening, about 150 shooters had aimed at their targets. To maintain transparency in the event, shooters are being told their scores immediately after the competition.
Selection for National Level
This sports competition will continue until October 7, 2026. Players performing excellently in this will be selected for the national level competition, where they will represent Rajasthan.
Jury and Arrangements
The selection committee deputed by the Education Department includes Brijpal Singh Chundawat, Sapna Yadav, Narendra Singh Shaktawat, Ganpat Singh Mandalawat, Suraj Chaudhary, Ankit Jat, Dhaval Chauhan, and Kulwinder Kaur.
Physical education teachers including Harphool Jat, Jai Singh, Kuldeep Singh Khangarot, Khushwant Singh, Mahendra Singh, Nagendra Singh, Narendra Singh Bhati, Manoj Singh, Mehtab Singh Chauhan, Manvendra Bhadu, Vishnu Meena, Bhawani Singh, Tejpal, Kishan Singh, Vikram Yadav, Deependra Singh, and Rohit are performing their duties as range officers and in the scoring team.
