Following an assault on a doctor in Bhinmal, doctors have begun a pen-down strike outside the sub-district hospital, demanding the accused's arrest and strict action.
The striking doctors outside the hospital raised slogans, demanding strict action in the matter and the immediate arrest of the accused.
The doctors have made it clear that their protest and strike will continue until the accused is arrested and strict action is taken in this case.
Indian Medical Association (IMA) President Himmat Sharma has expressed concern over this incident. He stated that such an assault on a doctor raises serious questions about law and order and the safety of doctors.
He said, "All doctors regret the inconvenience caused to patients due to this strike. But all doctors are forced to go on a pen-down strike in protest of this incident."
Himmat Sharma warned that if the government and administration do not take prompt cognizance and action in this matter and fail to arrest the accused, the protest will continue.
