In Bikaner, the Excise Department seized 600 liters of illegal spirit from three drums buried in the ground on the Arjansar-Pallu Mega Highway. A case has been registered.
In this matter, the department has registered a case under the Rajasthan Excise Act and has started further investigation.
Upon receiving information, the Excise Department team raided the Jaitpur area and conducted a search operation.
During this, the team found three drums hidden in the ground. Officials stated that each drum was filled with about 200 liters of spirit. Thus, a total of 600 liters of spirit was seized from the three drums.
This action was taken on the instructions of Excise Commissioner Namit Mehta. It was led by Additional Excise Commissioner Zone Bikaner, Manisha Legha.
Under the direction of Deputy Excise Commissioner Zone Pomaram Rohina and District Excise Officer Sanjeev Patawari, the team led by Assistant Excise Officer Pratap Singh Dudi successfully carried out this operation.
In this significant action, Assistant Excise Officer Pratap Singh Dudi, Excise Inspector Sarita Bhargav, along with the officers and staff of the Excise Prevention Team from Khajuwala, Bikaner Rural, and Lunkaransar, and the Bikaner district force were involved.
The recovered spirit has been seized and a case has been registered at the Lunkaransar Excise Police Station under Section 16/54 of the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950.
The department is now trying to find out for what purpose such a large quantity of spirit was hidden here and who are the people involved behind it.
