Bikaner |A major initiative is being undertaken in Bikaner on the occasion of National Sports Day. The sixth edition of “Run for Fit Bikaner” will be organized on August 29, the birth anniversary of the great hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
The main objective of this event is to increase awareness about fitness and sports among the youth.
Poster Unveiling
The event poster was unveiled by Colonel C. Akhil Sir, Commanding Officer of the 26 Mechanized Regiment, and Roshan Jain, Commanding Officer of the 14 Mahar Regiment.
The organizers have urged army officers and soldiers to join this campaign and boost the morale of the youth.
Message of Drug-Free Life and Fitness
The Commanding Officers praised the event. They emphasized the need to connect youth with sports and keep them away from drugs.
Campaign Objective
Danveer Singh Bhati, President of Eklavya Foundation, stated that the goal of this campaign is to realize the concept of a “Cultured, Drug-free Bikaner”.
He said its purpose is to inspire the youth to adopt sports and a healthy lifestyle.
