Bikaner |A grand event was held in Bikaner on the occasion of National Sports Day and Major Dhyan Chand's birth anniversary. Thousands of people enthusiastically participated in “Run for Fit Bikaner-6,” organized jointly by the Eklavya Foundation and Kreeda Bharti.
Players, youth, students, and the general public actively took part in this program, sending a message for a healthy and drug-free Bikaner.
Administrative Officials Boosted Morale
District Collector Nishant Jain and SP Mridul Kachhawa also walked with the participants in the walkathon, which started from Dr. Karni Singh Stadium. They praised the initiative and boosted everyone's morale.
The participants were welcomed with flower showers along the walkathon route. Carrying the tricolor, the participants presented a wonderful blend of sports, fitness, and patriotism.
Players Honored with “Bikana Gaurav Award”
During the event, sports demonstrations and various cultural activities were also organized. Following this, 11 national and international medal-winning players from Bikaner were honored with the “Bikana Gaurav Award” to appreciate their contributions.
Organizer Danveer Singh Bhati expressed his views on the occasion. He said that “Run for Fit Bikaner” is not just a walkathon but a public campaign to build a healthy, cultured, and drug-free society through sports.
