Voter Literacy Clubs to be formed in schools in 10 days

Bikaner | Instructions have been issued to form Voter Literacy Clubs (ELC) in the secondary and higher secondary schools of the district. This step is being taken with the aim of increasing voter awareness in view of the upcoming elections.

10-day deadline set

Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer and SWEEP in-charge Shailaja Pandey has given strict instructions to the Chief District Education Officer in this regard.

According to the instructions, ELCs must be formed in all subordinate schools within the next 10 days.

Registration and Club Structure

After formation, it will also be necessary to complete the online registration of these clubs by September 25.

  • Each ELC will have an institution head and a coordinator.
  • Along with them, 20 students will also be included in the club.

A daily report on the progress of registration will have to be sent to the SWEEP cell.

Concern over slow progress

As the current status of VLC formation and registration in the district is very low, instructions have been given to make it a top priority.

Schools have also been informed about the process of downloading the ECINET app for ELC registration.
