Union Minister JP Nadda and CM Bhajanlal Sharma joined BJP's grand Tiranga Yatra in Jaipur, which Nadda described as a mass movement of national consciousness.
Under the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, a grand state-level Tiranga Yatra was organized in Jaipur on Sunday amidst rain. Thousands of people participated in this yatra, immersing the entire atmosphere in patriotism.
Addressing a gathering at Albert Hall before the yatra, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda highlighted the significance of the event.
He said, "This Tiranga Yatra is not just a march, but a mass movement connected to the country's deep emotions and national consciousness."
Nadda described the tricolor as a vibrant symbol of India's unity, diversity, and national pride.
The Union Minister also mentioned the 'Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Act, 2026', recently passed in the Rajya Sabha.
He explained that the previous law recognized the Constitution, the National Anthem, and the National Flag as national symbols, but 'Vande Mataram' was not included.
Nadda clarified, "Now, after the amendment, the National Song has also been included along with the National Anthem, the Constitution, and the National Flag."
He emphasized that disrespect to these symbols will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
JP Nadda praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the country is moving out of a slave mentality and its remnants.
He said, "We are rapidly moving forward in the direction of national renaissance and nation-building."
Nadda recalled the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign launched during the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' in 2022, which took the tricolor to every home and every heart.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the deep historical connection of the tricolor with Rajasthan.
Sharing a significant fact, he said, "The first tricolor hoisted on the occasion of the country's independence on August 15, 1947, was made in Dausa, Rajasthan."
At that time, Dausa was part of the Jaipur princely state.
The Chief Minister said that this yatra, initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, has now become a journey for every citizen of the country.
He stated, "Whenever we hold the tricolor in our hands, our self-respect and national pride increase even more."
Sharma described the yatra as a means of strengthening the spirit of patriotism and national service among the youth.
He said, "The tricolor should not only be on the roofs of houses but should also beat in the heart of every citizen."
Starting from Albert Hall, the yatra passed through Ramniwas Bagh intersection and Sanganeri Gate before concluding at Badi Chaupar.
Despite the rain, thousands of workers, including Union Minister JP Nadda, CM Bhajanlal Sharma, and State President Madan Rathore, enthusiastically waved the tricolor.
A large number of school children, youth, women, and elderly people participated in the yatra.
The entire route resonated with patriotic songs and slogans. At the closing ceremony, children gave captivating cultural performances on patriotic songs.
The event was attended by many dignitaries, including BJP State In-charge Dr. Radha Mohandas Agarwal, Organization General Secretary Ajeya Kumar, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa.
Additionally, many former and current BJP office-bearers, ministers, MPs, and MLAs were part of this historic yatra.
After the yatra, Union Minister JP Nadda interacted with ex-servicemen at the BJP state office and visited freedom fighter Pravin Chandra Chhabra at his residence.
