Dr. Meghna Sharma has been appointed as the founding director of the Rajasthani Study Center at Maharaja Ganga Singh University in Bikaner. She was also felicitated on this occasion.
Dr. Meghna Sharma became the founding director of the Rajasthani Study Center at Maharaja Ganga Singh University.
This appointment was made on the instructions of the Chancellor and Governor of Rajasthan.
The center will focus on promoting Rajasthani culture, literature, art, and tourism.
Dr. Sharma was honored by the Rajasthani Motyar Parishad on her appointment.
Bikaner | An important academic appointment has been made at Maharaja Ganga Singh University. In compliance with the directives of the Chancellor and the Governor of Rajasthan, a Rajasthani Study Center has been established at the university. Dr. Meghna Sharma has been entrusted with the responsibility of being the founding director of this newly formed center.
Objectives and Plans of the Center
On her appointment, Dr. Meghna Sharma shared the future vision for the center. She stated that the main objective of the study center is to promote Rajasthani culture and traditions.
She said that through the center, special emphasis will be placed on activities that strengthen Rajasthani literary seminars, research-based dialogue programs, and Rajasthani art and tourism.
Dr. Sharma also mentioned that in the coming time, active efforts will be made to spread awareness about the Rajasthani language and culture among the general public and to connect it with the masses.
Previous Experience and Honor
Dr. Meghna Sharma has extensive experience in the field of Rajasthani curriculum. She has previously served as the founding coordinator of the Rajasthani course conducted under SFS at the university for four sessions.
Currently, she is serving as the Head of the History Department at the university.
On the occasion of this significant appointment, the Rajasthani Motyar Parishad honored Dr. Meghna Sharma by presenting her with a shawl, safa, dupatta, and a plant. The felicitation ceremony was attended by students from various departments led by Dr. Namami Shankar Acharya, Dr. Gaurishankar Prajapat, Ram Sharma, Ravindra Jajra, Rajesh Chaudhary, Prashant Jain, Sunil Bishnoi, and Deepak Chaudhary.
