FIFA has suspended the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) with immediate effect, citing third-party interference.
FIFA's decision comes due to external interference in ANFA's operations, which FIFA considers a serious violation of its statutes. The dispute was primarily between Nepal's National Sports Council (NSC) and ANFA.
There had been long-standing disagreements between the two bodies over elections and the management of the association. FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) had previously expressed concerns over the matter.

Following this suspension, Nepal's national football teams, both men's and women's, will not be able to participate in any international competitions.
Furthermore, no club from Nepal will be permitted to play in tournaments organized by FIFA and AFC, such as the AFC Cup.

FIFA has clarified that the suspension will be lifted only when ANFA regains full control over its operations and the external interference is completely terminated.
