FIR on IPL Star Shashank Singh, Cook Alleges Assault
Bhopal | Shashank Singh, the star batsman for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has found himself in trouble. The Ratibad police in Bhopal have registered an FIR against Shashank Singh and his father, retired Special DG Shailesh Singh, in a serious case.

The case has been filed based on a complaint from a cook who worked at their house. The cook has leveled serious allegations against the cricketer and his father, including assault, verbal abuse, snatching his mobile phone, and wrongful confinement.

What is the whole matter?

The complainant, Vipendra Singh Tomar, is a resident of Rewa district. He told the police that he started working as a cook at Shashank Singh's bungalow in Neelbad on June 25.

According to Vipendra, he was promised a monthly salary of ₹15,000 along with accommodation and food. Everything was going well, but the situation changed within a few days.

Dispute started over mobile phone

In his complaint, Vipendra alleged that he was told there were shortcomings in his work, and his mobile phone was snatched on this pretext.

He stated, "After preparing breakfast on June 28, I asked Shailesh Singh for my mobile phone back, but he refused. Upset by this, I went to my room."

The complainant further alleged that "Shailesh Singh, his son Shashank Singh, and their driver came to my room, abused me, and started beating me with hands and fists. After beating me, they forcibly threw me out of the house."

Vipendra also alleged that ₹1,000 was transferred from his mobile phone, with the claim that it was for his food and lodging expenses.

Police Registered FIR

Following the incident, Vipendra went to the Ratibad police station with his relatives and filed a written complaint. The police took immediate action, considering the seriousness of the matter.

The police have registered a case against Shashank Singh, his father Shailesh Singh, and their driver under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Police officials have stated that an investigation has been launched and all aspects of the case are being examined. So far, no official statement has been issued by Shashank Singh or his family regarding this matter.

This case is also gaining more attention because Shashank Singh is a well-known cricketer and his father is a retired senior police officer. The truth will only come to light after the police investigation is complete.
