Reason for the fall in gold prices

Increased tension in the Middle East is considered a reason behind this fall in prices.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has claimed that the US will impose economic sanctions against Iran that have never been seen before.

In an interview, Bessent said, "It will be a method of economic isolation the likes of which the world has never seen before."

He also stated that there would be a continuous blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, preventing anything from going in or out of Iranian ports. These circumstances have impacted gold prices.
