In KBC 18, Amitabh Bachchan asked a Rs 1 lakh question about Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol were stumped, but Preeti Zinta won by giving the correct answer.
The 18th season of the popular quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' has begun. In the very first episode, Bollywood stalwarts Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol, and Preeti Zinta appeared as guests. During the show, host Amitabh Bachchan asked an interesting question from the world of cricket, which stumped both Aamir and Sunny.
The One Lakh Rupee Question
Amitabh Bachchan asked for Rs 1 lakh: Who won the Orange Cap in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026? This question made everyone on the set think, especially Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol, who did not know the answer.
The options for the question included the names of KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Upon hearing the question, Aamir Khan immediately gave up and looked towards Preeti Zinta for her cricket knowledge. He said that only Preeti would know the answer.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol also clearly stated that he has no knowledge about cricket. At this point, Amitabh Bachchan jokingly said to Preeti, "You are the owner."
Preeti Zinta Gave the Correct Answer
Preeti Zinta started considering the options. She said that it couldn't be KL Rahul or Yashasvi Jaiswal. After a little thought, she named Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Although she was not entirely confident about her answer, she asked to lock it in.
Preeti's guess turned out to be absolutely correct, and she won the prize money of Rs 1 lakh. Her correct answer surprised everyone.
For your information, Vaibhav Suryavanshi created a storm with his performance in IPL 2026. He scored the most runs with his brilliant batting in that season and won the Orange Cap.
A Flurry of Records
Not only that, Vaibhav also became the 'Player of the Tournament' that season. He won the 'Super Sixes' title for hitting the most sixes and the 'Super Strikers' title for scoring runs at the fastest rate. He also broke Chris Gayle's record of 69 sixes in a single season.
After this powerful performance, it became difficult for the selectors to ignore him. He was selected for the team against Ireland. He then made his debut in England and registered his strong presence in international cricket with a stunning performance in Zimbabwe.
