Jaipur | RajasthanBJP State President Madan Rathore has launched a sharp attack on Congress and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He strongly criticized Congress's politics on sensitive issues like the Ram Mandir, civic body elections, and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
Ram Mandir Trust Integrity and Opposition Allegations
Madan Rathore said that those who never accepted the existence of Lord Ram are today questioning the temple arrangements. He clarified that the offerings and properties of the Ram Mandir are completely safe.
Rathore emphasized that the temple trust has displayed its assets publicly. The Ram Mandir is the center of faith for millions of people, and politicizing it is highly inappropriate.
'Those who have shown faith and contributed towards the Ram Mandir have the moral right to question. Those who opposed are raising allegations only for political gain.' - Madan Rathore
He defended former trustee Champat Rai, stating he is completely stainless. If anyone at the lower level is found guilty, the law will take its course and strict punishment will be delivered.
Questions Raised on Ashok Gehlot's Tenure
The BJP State President advised former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to focus on his own party's internal situation. He said that Gehlot should stop making absurd and baseless statements.
Rathore alleged that during Gehlot's tenure, issues like water, electricity, paper leaks, and administrative rifts were at their peak. The former CM is avoiding speaking on these serious failures.
BJP's Complete Readiness for Civic Elections
Speaking on the local body elections, Rathore clarified that the state government is fully ready to conduct the polls. Now, the final decision has to be made by the Election Commission.
He accused Congress of trying to instigate the OBC community. He said that the OBC Commission's report is reaching the Election Commission, which has created fear within Congress.
Citing statistics, Rathore mentioned that BJP registered a historic win in 62 out of 78 recent bypolls. Therefore, Congress's claim of BJP fearing defeat is completely baseless.
Draft for Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Ready in Rajasthan
On UCC, Rathore said that the opposition's only job left is to find faults. The BJP has already prepared the preliminary draft of the Uniform Civil Code.
He informed that the experiences of states where UCC has been implemented are being thoroughly studied. The final draft will be customized to suit the conditions of Rajasthan.
Rathore clarified that suggestions are being taken from various social groups for this draft. The opposition can also present its positive suggestions on this topic in the Assembly.
Conclusion
Madan Rathore's aggressive stance clearly shows that the BJP is ready to strongly counter every allegation of the opposition in Rajasthan. In the coming days, politics over civic polls and UCC is bound to intensify.
