Mount Abu | Mount Abu Municipal Council has started special preparations in view of the upcoming Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali festivals. An important meeting was organized at the Mahatma Gandhi Library under the chairmanship of Municipal Council Chairman Sunil Acharya. The main objective of this meeting was to ensure the beautification of the city and facilities for tourists during the festivals. Several important decisions were passed in the meeting which will help in changing the face of the city.
Smooth Traffic and Parking Arrangements for Tourists
A large number of tourists are expected to visit Mount Abu during the Diwali festival. Special attention has been given to parking and traffic management so that tourists do not face any inconvenience.
Parking and One-Way Route Plan
Parking will be arranged on both sides of the Polo Ground for tourist vehicles.
A one-way route will be prepared to avoid unnecessary traffic jams and confusion in the city.
This will help tourists in smooth movement.
Grand Lighting and Decoration of the City
There is a plan to decorate the entire city like a bride on the occasion of Diwali. The entire route from the petrol pump to Nakki Lake will be illuminated with attractive lights.
Municipal Council Chairman Sunil Acharya said that local people and market unions will also be consulted for this work. With everyone's cooperation, the city's lighting will be given a grand look.
Beautification and Development of Nakki Lake
Big decisions were also taken in the meeting regarding the beautification of the famous Nakki Lake of Mount Abu. Special efforts are being made to maintain the beauty of the lake.
Appointment of Brand Ambassador and New Lighting
BK Harish has been re-appointed as the brand ambassador for planting trees and maintenance around Nakki Lake.
New street lights will be installed around Nakki Lake on the lines of Udaipur's Fateh Sagar Lake.
These lights will give their reflection in the water along with the path, which will present a unique view.
Disposal of Old Structures and New Naming
The dilapidated 'Datda Sea World' located at Nakki Lake will now be completely demolished. A new plan will be made for some suitable and worthy work at this place in the future.
Along with this, the route from the SDM office to Vivekananda Park will now be named 'Vivekananda Marg'. Special attention will also be given to the cleaning of the gardens around the lake and the maintenance of the fountains installed there.
Regarding the cleanliness of the city, the Council Chairman clarified that there will be no shortage of resources. If required, the sanitation system can also be given to a contractor on contract to keep it smooth.
