Bikaner's Nokhapolice have achieved great success under a special campaign against narcotics. In separate actions, the police have arrested two smugglers with narcotic pills and one smack supplier. Additionally, the police also organized a meeting to promote community engagement.
Operation Neelkanth: Two Arrested with 3330 Narcotic Pills
Nokha police have carried out a major operation under 'Operation Neelkanth'. In this operation, 3330 narcotic pills and capsules have been recovered, and two accused have been arrested.
This action was taken under the direction of Inspector General of Police, Bikaner Range, Omprakash, and District Superintendent of Police, Mridul Kachhawa. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Banwari Lal and Circle Officer Nokha Jarnail Singh supervised this operation.
Action Taken on a Tip-off
Station House Officer (SHO) Govind Singh Charan received information from ANTF Bikaner, based on which the police team took action. The police recovered a large quantity of narcotics from the possession of the accused.
The seizure includes 1630 Tramadol tablets, 1200 Alprazolam tablets, 250 Pregabalin capsules, and 250 Tapentadol tablets. A total of 3330 narcotic tablets and capsules were seized.
Identity of Accused and Seized Vehicle
The arrested accused have been identified as Banjranglal (26), son of Hazariram Meghwal, a resident of Kanvlisar, and Azruddin (24), son of Shaukat Ali Teli, a resident of Kanpura Basti, Nokha.
The police also seized a motorcycle (number RK 50 SC 9630) from their possession. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, and the investigation is being conducted by Deshnok SHO Suman Shekhawat.
Smack Supplier Also Nabbed by Police
In another action, Nokha police arrested smack supplier Radheshyam Vishnoi (19) while taking action against drug trafficking. The accused is a resident of Kakra, under the Jasrasar police station.
The police are conducting a detailed interrogation of the accused regarding the sale and purchase of smack.
SHO Govind Singh Charan stated that this case dates back to June 23, 2025, when 56.5 grams of illegal smack were recovered from a rented house in Mohanpura Bas, Nokha.
A case was registered under the NDPS Act, and an investigation was initiated. During the investigation, the main accused, Ramswaroop Vishnoi, confessed to buying the smack from Radheshyam.
The police team arrested Radheshyam on Tuesday based on technical information. In this case, Ramswaroop Vishnoi and Dinesh Sony have already been arrested.
Meeting of CLG Members at Nokha Police Station
Along with crime control, the police have also emphasized community policing. In this sequence, a meeting of newly selected CLG (Community Liaison Group) members was held at Nokha police station on Tuesday.
During the meeting, through video conferencing, police officials made the members aware of staying away from drugs, cybercrime, organized crime, and crimes against women.
The SHO called upon all CLG members to cooperate with the police administration in the future and to play an active role in maintaining peace and security in society.
