Balotra | A decades-old dream of Western Rajasthan is about to come true. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-awaited Pachpadra Refinery on July 4. Preparations for this historic event are in their final stages, and the administration is on high alert.
Prime Minister's Proposed Program and Preparations
According to sources, PM Modi will arrive in Pachpadra at 12 noon on July 4. He will inaugurate the refinery and may also address a public meeting.
He will be present at the event for about two hours, after which he will depart for Jodhpur at 2 PM. However, the Prime Minister's official schedule has not yet been released.
In view of this important visit, the district administration, police, and security agencies are fully prepared. Micro-planning of every aspect has been done to ensure there are no lapses.
BJP State President Madan Rathore will visit Pachpadra on Thursday to review the preparations. He will also hold an important meeting with party workers.
Meanwhile, on July 3, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will personally visit the refinery site. He will conduct a final review of the preparations, and his overnight stay is planned in Jodhpur.
Special Focus on Security Arrangements
The refinery complex is currently bustling with senior administrative officials. With little time left for the event, all arrangements are being finalized.
Security agencies, police, and the administration are working together to make the program successful. Unprecedented security measures have been put in place at the venue and surrounding areas.
According to the administration, entry to the ceremony will be restricted for security reasons. Only about five thousand people will be allowed at the event site.
However, the general public will not be deprived of this historic moment. The ceremony will be broadcast live on LED screens in villages and cities across the district, including the district headquarters.
Mega Campaign for Environmental Protection
The Prime Minister's visit has been linked to a major public campaign for environmental protection. The district administration has set an ambitious target for this occasion.
A total of 2 lakh 51 thousand saplings will be planted across the district in a single day. This will be a record in itself and will send a strong message about environmental commitment.
Under this campaign, the target is to plant 500 saplings in each Gram Panchayat. Additionally, large-scale tree plantation will also take place in municipal areas, schools, and government offices.
Public places, panchayat premises, and pasture lands have also been included in this green campaign. Every sapling will be geo-tagged.
Geo-tagging will ensure the monitoring and conservation of the plants. Public representatives, students, and social organizations are also being involved in this campaign.
Message of Fuel Saving Through Cycle Rally
The inauguration ceremony will not be limited to just an industrial achievement. The state government will also use it to convey a message of fuel saving and environmental protection.
According to the plan, the Chief Minister, ministers, MLAs, and administrative officials will participate in a cycle rally from Pachpadra to the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery.
This rally will symbolize raising environmental awareness and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
A special 'Green Parking' facility for e-vehicles and bicycles will also be arranged at the event venue, further strengthening this initiative.
The district administration has appealed to the general public to actively participate in this plantation drive and to take a pledge to protect the planted saplings.
This inauguration ceremony will prove to be a milestone in the development of Western Rajasthan. It will not only create employment opportunities in the region but also make a significant contribution to the country's energy security.
