PM Modi to Launch 'Drug-Free Youth' Campaign

Abu Road | Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually launch the nationwide 'Drug-Free Youth for a Developed India Resolution Campaign' run by Brahma Kumaris on August 2. This program is a significant step towards making the country drug-free.

On this occasion, thousands of programs will be organized simultaneously across the country. All these programs will be broadcast live at various retreat centers, including the Brahma Kumaris headquarters, Shantiwan, to connect as many people as possible with this initiative.

Goal to Administer Pledge to 10 Crore People

Dr. BK Mrityunjay Bhai, Additional Secretary-General of Brahma Kumaris, provided information about this grand campaign. He stated that the institution aims to administer the pledge of drug de-addiction to 10 crore people from August 2 to 20.

To achieve this goal, more than six thousand service centers and 50 thousand Rajyoga education centers and schools spread across the country will be utilized.

Through these centers, special drug de-addiction programs will be organized in schools, colleges, universities, government and private offices, industries, social organizations, railway stations, bus stands, and rural areas.

Mega Events to be Held Nationwide

Under the campaign, major events (mega events) will also be organized at prominent locations in the country. These include Shantiwan, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Nagpur, Raipur, Madurai, Panipat, Kolkata, Agartala, Hyderabad, Guwahati, and Goa.

Governors, Chief Ministers, and other public representatives of the respective states are expected to participate in these programs.

Additionally, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar, will also address the gathering virtually.

Monitoring through Digital System

To ensure effective monitoring of this massive campaign, a special QR code-based digital system has been developed.

Through this system, live data from each program will be compiled and submitted to the Government of India.

Dr. Banarsi Lal, Secretary of the institution's Medical Wing, mentioned that in the last three years, Brahma Kumaris, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Narcotics Control Bureau, has spread the message of de-addiction to 3.16 crore people through 30,775 programs.
