A comprehensive career education program is being launched for students of classes 9 to 12 in PM Shri schools to develop self-awareness and future skills.
According to the guidelines issued by the Rajasthan Council of School Education, this program will focus on the overall development of students.
The primary goal of this initiative is to develop self-awareness, career awareness, decision-making ability, and essential future skills among students. This will enable students to choose a better career according to their interests and abilities.
To make the program effective, various study materials will be provided to the students. This includes:
Under this program, regular activity-based career sessions will be organized in schools. In addition, students will also be provided with career webinars, interactions with industry experts, and visits to various industries and institutions.
Parents will also be involved in the program. Career guidance sessions will be held for them in various meetings, including a mega PTM (Parent-Teacher Meeting). Additionally, training and capacity building for career teachers will also be conducted.
To ensure the effectiveness of the program, it will be regularly monitored. There will be monthly monitoring at the district and block levels and quarterly monitoring at the state level. After all sessions are completed, it will be mandatory for each student to fill out the 'My Career Plan' form.
