A major step has been taken towards making agricultural work easier for farmers in Rajasthan. A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Agriculture Department, Rajasthan, and TAFE-JFarm Services on Thursday. The agreement was concluded at Pant Krishi Bhawan in Jaipur.

Farmers to Benefit from Digital Platform

The main objective of this partnership is to promote agricultural mechanization in the state. Under this, farmers will now be able to use the JFarm Services digital platform.

Through this platform, farmers can easily rent tractors and other modern agricultural machinery without any additional service charges.

Linkage with Raj Kisan Sathi Portal

This digital platform will be integrated with the government's Raj Kisan Sathi portal. This will make digital services for agricultural activities such as land preparation, sowing, harvesting, and post-harvest operations easily accessible to farmers.

Focus on Small and Marginal Farmers

Manju Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture, said on the occasion that Custom Hiring Centers will give a new direction to agricultural mechanization.

She also added that this will ensure the availability of modern agricultural equipment up to the Gram Panchayat level.

According to Agriculture Commissioner Naresh Kumar Goyal, this initiative will prove to be a significant milestone in delivering modern agricultural technology and digital services to small and marginal farmers.

Rental System to Become Transparent

Trilok Joshi, Additional Director of the department, stated that an effective and transparent rental system will be established through this MOU.

Under this, farmers, FPOs, Custom Hiring Centers, and tractor owners will be brought onto a single digital platform.

Commissioner of Horticulture Shweta Chauhan, along with several officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture Department and representatives of TAFE-JFarm Services, were also present at the event. Joint Directors of Zilla Parishads joined the program via video conferencing.
