Rajasthan: Ban on Transfers, Postings Lifted Until July 5
Jaipur | After a long wait, the Rajasthan government has lifted the ban on the transfer and posting of government employees and officials. This ban has been lifted for 16 days, under which transfers can be made until July 5. This decision has brought great relief to those employees who were waiting for their transfers for a long time.

Who Gets Priority, Who Stays Out?

According to the orders issued by the government, certain special categories will be given priority in these transfers. These include single women, widows, divorcees, and employees suffering from serious illnesses. Employees battling cancer, heart disease, or severe kidney or lung ailments will be given preference. This order will also apply to corporations, boards, and autonomous bodies, in addition to government departments.

However, employees of two major departments have been left disappointed this time as well. The ban on transfers of Grade III teachers in the Education Department will remain in place. These teachers have been waiting for their transfers since 2018.

Similarly, employees of the Medical Department will also not be transferred. The government has taken this decision in view of the outbreak of seasonal diseases, so that the arrangements in hospitals are not affected. This includes posts like Nursing Officer, Lab Technician, and Doctor.

Political Influence to be Seen in Transfers

According to sources, the recommendations of the ruling party's MLAs will be given significant importance in these transfers. Many BJP MLAs had been pressing for the transfer of their preferred employees for a long time. This issue was also raised several times in party meetings.

The highest demand for transfers is in departments directly connected with the public, such as Education, Police, Electricity, and Finance. A large number of employees may be moved around based on the recommendations of the MLAs.

While this decision has brought an opportunity for many employees, the wait has become longer for Grade III teachers and medical personnel. The next few days will see increased activity in administrative and political corridors.
