Meanwhile, in Bhawanimandi of Jhalawar district, Congress dealt a major blow to the BJP. Senior BJP leader and former municipal chairman Ramlal Gurjar joined Congress along with his supporters. His move has upset the BJP's electoral calculations in Bhawanimandi.
After the nominations end on Monday, the biggest challenge for both parties will be to persuade dissatisfied leaders. Congress plans for senior leaders to immediately communicate with aspirants who did not get tickets.
