Jaipur | The lottery process for reservation in Rajasthan Panchayati Raj elections has started from today, Wednesday. After the completion of elections in urban bodies, administrative and political activities regarding Panchayati Raj elections are at their peak. According to the new guidelines issued by Dr. Jogaram, Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, this lottery process for reservation and category-wise allocation of various posts in the Panchayati Raj institutions of the state is being organized today and tomorrow. The state government has set a strict target to complete the entire process of Panchayati Raj elections by November 15, 2026. With the start of this two-day lottery process, the political landscape of rural Rajasthan is changing completely and the picture of the electoral fate of thousands of prospective candidates is becoming clear. In Jaipur district, under the supervision of District Collector and District Election Officer Sandesh Nayak, the lottery for reservation of Zila Parishad members, members of all Panchayat Samitis of the district and the posts of Pradhan is being drawn from 10:15 am today at the District Collectorate Auditorium. Exactly the next day, i.e., tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, 2026, the work of determining category-wise reservation for the posts of Sarpanch and Ward Panchs of all Gram Panchayats of the district is scheduled to be completed in a fair and transparent manner at the respective Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) headquarters.
