Rajasthan Police 'Mega Blockade': 15000+ Fines in 24 Hours
JAIPUR | Rajasthan Police has launched the biggest-ever 'Mega Blockade' campaign against criminals and traffic rule violators. Following strict instructions from DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma, police forces across the state took to the streets on Monday, leading to a stir among criminals within just 24 hours.

Statewide Police 'Fortification'

A total of 1103 blockade points were set up across Rajasthan for this massive operation. Additional Director General (Law & Order) V.K. Singh stated that police teams were on high alert in all ranges and commissionerates.

With cheetah-like agility, the police conducted intensive checks on a total of 74,872 vehicles. This included 39,984 two-wheelers and 34,888 four-wheelers.

During this period, 226 accused found involved in suspicious activities were arrested and sent behind bars.

Record 15,000+ Fines for Rule Breakers

This campaign was nothing short of a nightmare for traffic violators. The police issued a total of 15,083 challans, a single-day record.

Challans by Violation Type

Action was taken against 3,234 people for riding without a helmet and 1,648 for not wearing a seat belt. Meanwhile, 1,653 challans were issued for defective number plates.

A fine was imposed on 1,643 people for using tinted glass on their vehicles. Additionally, 385 drivers were caught for drunk driving.

Additional Director General V.K. Singh said, "This campaign was aimed at sending a strong message to criminals and strengthening the sense of security among the general public."

Lakhs of Cash, Illegal Arms, and Drugs Seized

This was not limited to just traffic checking. The police also launched a direct assault on criminals. During the campaign, 11 vehicles were seized, and 73 new cases were registered.

The biggest success came in the Jaipur Range, where a hefty sum of ₹25.50 lakh in cash and 5 vehicles were seized.

Meanwhile, a tractor involved in illegal sand mining and a large quantity of country liquor were seized in the Bharatpur Range. Doda chura and illegal liquor were also seized in Kota and Bikaner.

This mega-operation has made it clear that criminals and lawbreakers will no longer be spared in Rajasthan. While this police action has instilled fear among criminals, the general public has breathed a sigh of relief. Such campaigns are expected to continue in the future.
