After being detained by the police, student leader Lakshyaraj issued a statement.

"Today, we were going to perform a samadhi at Rajasthan University to demand the restoration of student union elections and proper recognition for the Rajasthani language, but the police administration stopped us from doing so. Our aim was not to create any kind of violence or disorder, but to convey the sentiments of the students and the people of Rajasthan to the administration. Our main demand is that the student union elections at Rajasthan University be restored as soon as possible and the Rajasthani language be given its due respect and recognition. We demand the administration to seriously listen to the voice of the students on these two issues and take a positive decision soon."

NSUI Protest Continues on Water Tank

On the other hand, the aggressive protest by the NSUI (National Students' Union of India) demanding the restoration of student union elections is also ongoing.

NSUI workers have climbed a water tank located near Gandhi Nagar railway station. Their protest has been going on for more than 30 hours, and they are not ready to come down despite the scorching heat.

Angered by the government's stance, the NSUI has now started a hunger strike. The organization has warned that if the demand is not met by the evening, Jaipur's busiest Tonk Road will be blocked.

NSUI leaders have alleged that no responsible representative or minister from the BJP government has come to talk to them.
