Ram Mandir Donation Theft: 8 Arrested, Saint Calls it Ram's Victory
Ayodhya | The case of alleged embezzlement of donations given by devotees at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir has taken a new turn. The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested eight accused within hours of filing the FIR. The saint community has expressed satisfaction with this action.

Following these arrests, Jagadguru Swami Satishacharya Maharaj described it as a victory for Lord Ram, Ayodhya, and Sanatanis. He also appealed to keep the matter away from politics.

Saint Community Applauds Swift Action

Speaking to the media, Jagadguru Swami Satishacharya Maharaj said that this reflects the positive side of the justice system. He stated that in matters related to religion, no one should have the right to accuse anyone without basis.

His statement comes at a time when the opposition, especially the Samajwadi Party, has been continuously targeting the government on this issue.

This is a victory for Lord Ram, Ayodhya, India, and the Sanatanis. The immediate arrest of eight people shows the positive side of the justice system.

Appeal to Keep it Apolitical

Referring to Arvind Kejriwal's visit to Ayodhya, Swami Satishacharya questioned if this matter has any connection with politics. He clarified that giving this entire episode a political color is wrong. The saint community had already been demanding a fair investigation into the matter.

How the Arrests Were Made and What Are the Charges?

The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested all eight accused on Thursday after the first FIR was registered in the case.

The arrested individuals include Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramashankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava, and Ram Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu.

Under Which Sections is the Case Registered?

All of them face serious charges related to theft, criminal breach of trust, concealing stolen property, criminal conspiracy, and corruption. The police have registered the case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Currently, all the accused are being interrogated.

Controversy Started with Opposition's Allegations

The whole controversy began when Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged that donations to the temple had gone missing. Subsequently, the Uttar Pradesh government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on June 13.

Based on the recommendation of the SIT's investigation report, Krishna Mohan, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, filed a complaint, which led to this action. However, even after the FIR, Akhilesh Yadav questioned the investigation, stating that 'small fish will be caught, and the big fish will be saved'.

This case has sparked a new debate between faith and politics in Ayodhya. While the saint community is satisfied with the police action, the opposition is questioning the fairness of the investigation. More revelations are expected in this case in the coming days.
