Former CM advisor Sanyam Lodha accused the BJP in Sirohi of drug trafficking, liquor smuggling, and land scams, calling it an opportunity to teach them a lesson.
Lodha alleged that cases of looting religious property, grabbing council land, and even cremation ground land have been exposed to the people of Sirohi. He said that the time has come to take this BJP and park it in the Ramjharokha parking lot.
Sanyam Lodha raised serious questions about the city's law and order. He said, "Sirohi city is suffocating in the grip of narcotics. Parents are extremely worried about their children's future and health."
He questioned the BJP, "The BJP should clarify under whose protection this is happening?"
Citing figures, Lodha said that liquor sales in Sirohi district were 380 crores in 2024-25, which reached 574 crores in 2025-26. He asked, "Are people involved in liquor smuggling running the BJP in the district? Tell us who they are?"
Making another serious allegation, he said that a person who has been a four-time BJP MLA is running gambling and betting operations at his well. Lodha claimed that this anti-social crime is being conducted under police protection.
Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, Lodha said that the public is watching everything and is ready to respond in the coming time. He said that in the two and three-quarter years of BJP rule, Sirohi has fallen far behind in the race for development, and the city's poor condition is hidden from no one.
He alleged that illegal extortion and land-related scams have been promoted under the protection of BJP leaders.
Lodha also targeted the central Modi government. He said, "Under the Modi government, the public is completely distressed by inflation. The prices of gold and silver are skyrocketing today. The public is troubled by the prices of sugar, petrol, and diesel."
Recalling his tenure, he said that development had gained momentum in Sirohi during his time, but today the city's roads are in a dilapidated state. He said, "There are potholes everywhere on the roads, and due to these potholes, the lives of ordinary citizens are at risk. The municipal council and the administration have no concern for the basic problems of the public."
Lodha also took the administration to task on the Ramjharokha temple case. He said that the kind of cover-up that has been done in the name of investigation raises many questions.
He warned the administration, saying, "If wrong things are supported and an attempt is made to save the culprits, there will be serious political and administrative consequences in the future."
Lodha said that the people of Sirohi are wise and they see the difference between the promises made in the name of development and public interest and the actual situation.
He called upon Congress workers to go among the public, raise the city's problems strongly, and expose the failures of the BJP government to the people.
The meeting was also addressed by District In-charge Anjana Meghwal and Assembly Coordinator Ashwinikumar. During this, Congress officials and workers discussed strengthening the organization and preparations for the upcoming municipal elections.
