A significant discussion is currently underway across the country regarding E20, or ethanol-blended petrol. While the government is continuously promoting it, there is also some confusion and concern among the public about its use.
Amid this debate, actor and host Shekhar Suman made a satirical comment on Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in his signature style on his show, which is now making headlines.
Speaking on the issue on his show 'Shekhar Tonight', Shekhar Suman said, "Nitin Gadkari ji says that people are spreading confusion about ethanol. Mr. Gadkari, the vehicles themselves are confused."
He further added, "They (the vehicles) don't understand whether to run, stop, or sway after being filled with ethanol; what are they supposed to do?"
'Double Engines in Cars Now'
Shekhar Suman didn't stop there. Comparing it to the 'double-engine government' slogan prevalent in the country, he said, "However, there are also reports of many car engines failing after using E20 petrol. I think after the double-engine government, it's now time to launch double engines in cars as well."
This is not the first time questions have been raised about E20 petrol. Earlier, popular YouTuber Saurabh Joshi had also complained of a significant drop in mileage after filling his Mercedes car with ethanol petrol.
However, as the matter escalated, Saurabh Joshi sent his car to the service center for an inspection. The investigation revealed that the reason for the low mileage was not the petrol but a mechanical issue with the engine.
Following this, Saurabh Joshi shared a post on the social media platform X, apologizing for the misunderstanding regarding E20 petrol. He clarified that his intention was not to spread any misinformation or mislead people.
