Political activities have intensified in Sirohi ahead of the local body elections. In an important meeting of the Sirohi Nagar Congress Committee, a comprehensive strategy to corner the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been revealed. The Congress has decided to adopt an aggressive stance on the city's major issues.
Congress Announces Aggressive Strategy
Former Chief Minister's advisor and former Sirohi MLA Sanyam Lodha made the Congress's intentions clear in the meeting. He said that the party will not remain silent on the burning issues of the city.
Lodha announced that all major issues including Ramjharokha, Gulab Nagar, Hindu cremation ground land, Shivganj toll booth, and the Sirohi bypass will be raised forcefully.
Struggle from the Streets to the Assembly
In the meeting held at the Sirohi Dak Bungalow, Lodha stated that movements will be launched on the streets of Sirohi regarding these issues.
Along with this, Congress representatives in the assembly will demand answers from the government on all these matters and work to corner them.
Serious Allegations on Ramjharokha and Cremation Ground Land
Sanyam Lodha raised serious questions about the functioning of the administration. He said that the 'incompetent' administration of Sirohi has kept the investigation of Ramjharokha, which came from the Chief Minister's office, pending for the last four months.
He asked, "At whose ministerial behest is the district administration protecting the land mafias to misappropriate the temple land?"
Allegation of Selling Land through Forged Will
Lodha alleged that land titles of the Ramjharokha temple land were created and sold through a forged will.
He further stated that in this regime, not only Hindu temples but also the cremation ground land used for post-death rituals of Hindus has not been spared.
Encroachment on Cremation Ground Land
He said that Sirohi BJP leaders, who came to power through the politics of religion, in their arrogance of power, got the land titles of the Hindu cremation ground issued in the name of their parent organization.
Lodha said that the matter of illegal land titles did not stop there. Titles under 69A were also issued for the land of Gulab Nagar, the case for which is also under investigation.
Bypass and Toll Booth: Allegations of Corruption
Lodha described the Sirohi bypass issue as a matter of serving self-interest more than public interest. He termed it a big game of looting public money.
He said, "A conspiracy is being hatched to create a bypass from Sirohi city. This short-sighted plan will prove fatal for the residents of Sirohi."
Ignoring the Master Plan
It is alleged that an attempt is being made to benefit some leaders associated with the BJP and the land mafia by ignoring the Sirohi master plan. A public interest litigation has also been filed in the Rajasthan High Court regarding this matter.
Case of Demolishing the Toll Booth
Lodha cited the overnight demolition of the Shivganj toll booth as another example of corruption. He said that officials took this action by misusing power to benefit a hotel owner.
Questions Raised on Education System as Well
The former MLA also accused the state government of ruining the education structure. He said there is a severe shortage of teachers in the schools of Sirohi.
He accused local public representatives of sidelining the future of Sirohi's children to serve their political interests and allowing teachers to be transferred out of the district without alternative arrangements.
This has led to a bleak future for the district's children, and they are struggling for their bright future.
Call for Workers to Unite
In the meeting, District In-charge Anjana Meghwal called upon the workers to gear up for the upcoming local body and panchayat samiti elections.
She said that by increasing activity in the wards, everyone must be made aware of Congress's policies and the injustice prevalent in the BJP rule. She also advised to play an active role at the booth level and be vigilant about the voter lists.

Anjana Meghwal said, "The path to victory comes only through the struggle for the people."
Nagar Congress President Punit Jain, thanking the organization, said that he is committed to providing all support to the workers. He said that they will have to work day and night to take the shortcomings of the ruling party to the public.
The meeting was attended by many office-bearers and workers, including outgoing Chairman Mahendra Mewada, Jitendra Singhi, Hemlata Sharma, and Kishore Purohit.
