Sirohi | A very serious and shocking case of child sexual abuse has emerged from a hostel in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. Allegations have been made of alleged sexual abuse of not one or two, but six children, which has caused a stir in the administrative and police departments.
Following the exposure of this case, a joint team of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) conducted a surprise inspection of the hostel on Friday.
Shocking Revelations in the Investigation
During the investigation, the team found several serious irregularities, raising grave questions about the functioning of the hostel management. The most significant finding was that the hostel was operating without any valid registration, a direct violation of regulations.
The case came to light when the DLSA Secretary received a complaint via email about the sexual abuse of one student. When a preliminary inquiry was conducted based on this complaint, the layers began to unfold. The investigation revealed that there were not one, but six victims.
According to the allegations, when one victim was taken to the Sirohi district hospital for treatment, the hostel management made every effort to suppress and hide the incident.
Police Action and Scope of Investigation
Given the seriousness of the matter, the investigation team has seized two computers from the hostel and handed them over to the police for further investigation. Additionally, CCTV footage from the past week has been brought under scrutiny to gather evidence.
A report in this matter has been filed by the Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, Ratan Bafna, and member Pratap Singh.
The police administration has taken this matter with utmost seriousness. Additional Superintendent of Police Kishore Singh has directed DSP Mukesh Chaudhary and Station House Officer Kailash Dan to personally supervise the investigation.
The police are investigating the matter and all aspects are being thoroughly examined. If the allegations are confirmed, strict legal action will be taken against the concerned individuals.
This incident raises a serious question about the safety of children. Only the administration's inquiry and police action will clarify the truth in these allegations and who is responsible for this alleged crime against children. Society awaits justice in this case.
