Child Beating: Victim's Family Alleges Pressure to Compromise
Sirohi |A new turn has emerged in the case of a teacher beating a 7-year-old first-grade student with a stick at the Government Upper Primary School located in the city's Housing Board area. After finding injury marks on the child's body, the family had filed an FIR with the police. Now, the family has alleged pressure and threats to compromise.

Allegations of Pressure and Threats to Compromise

The victim's family alleges that for two days after the incident, they have been pressured to compromise through various people. The family also stated that attempts were made to threaten them, which has caused resentment.

Three People Arrived at Home, Family Recorded Video

According to the family, three individuals came to their house and started pressuring them to compromise in the matter. The family recorded a video of the entire incident, in which three people are seen talking at the victim's family's home.

The family has said they will send this video to police officials and file a complaint. They have informed the police about the incident and demanded action against the concerned individuals.

Questions Raised on Police Action

Upon receiving information about the matter, the Kotwal sent policemen to the victim's family's home. However, the family alleges that instead of listening to their full account or recording a statement, the policeman merely completed a formality.

According to the family, the policeman only asked, "Did any policeman threaten you?" and left without hearing the full story. The family says the policeman did not even ask who had come to the house and what they said.

'Everything is in the video, yet...'

Raising questions on this police action, the family said that when they have a video of the incident, the police should have visited the spot and gathered detailed information.

Education Department and Former MLA Take Cognizance

After the matter came to light, the education department has taken cognizance and ordered an investigation. Meanwhile, former MLA Sanyam Lodha met the SP and the district administration to demand strict action against the guilty teacher.

Demand for Investigation into Two Cases Now

Now, two cases have emerged in this matter - one of the assault on the child and the other of pressuring the family to compromise. The family has demanded that along with the teacher, the people who exerted pressure should also be identified and the entire incident be investigated impartially. The family has clearly stated that they will not compromise under any pressure and want justice.
