Regarding this serious matter, Sourav Ganguly's personal secretary, Tania Bhattacharya, has filed a formal written complaint at the Thakurpukur Police Station. The police have taken the matter seriously and have initiated an investigation.
According to the complaint, Sourav Ganguly and his family had been receiving threatening letters for the past few months. These letters used objectionable language against Ganguly.
Tania Bhattacharya stated in her complaint, "Initially, we did not pay much attention to these letters. We thought it was the act of someone who dislikes him and was doing this to express their resentment."
Threats Increase Concern
However, two recently received letters have made the situation more serious. These letters were addressed directly to Sourav Ganguly and Dona Ganguly.
These letters not only contained hateful words but also issued serious threats to the lives and safety of Sourav Ganguly, Dona Ganguly, and the people working with them.
The complaint further states, "The seriousness of the threats in these letters has worried us. They are no longer limited to just derogatory remarks but have turned into explicit threats to life and personal safety."
On this basis, a request has been made for the police to intervene immediately and investigate the matter. The complaint demands the identification of the sender and appropriate steps to ensure the safety of the Ganguly family and their staff.
Who Sent the Threatening Letter?
According to reports, these threatening letters were sent to Sourav Ganguly's house via courier.
The sender's name on the packet was written as Arun Kumar, and the address was given as Belgharia. Currently, the police are investigating the matter based on this information and are searching for the accused.
