The incident took place on Saturday night in the Gadhi Maliyan area of Adarsh Nagar police station limits.
A businessman allegedly consumed poison along with his wife and 20-year-old daughter.
All three were taken to the hospital in critical condition, but they died during treatment.
Police have revealed the identity of the deceased.
The deceased include 59-year-old Ashok Sharma, who was a furniture businessman by profession.
Along with him, his 52-year-old wife Indra Sharma and 20-year-old daughter Diksha Sharma also passed away.
Mourning has spread throughout the Gadhi Maliyan area after this incident.
According to information, this incident happened between 7:30 and 8:00 PM on Saturday night.
The three family members had consumed poison tablets mixed in water.
As soon as the poison took effect, the health of all three began to deteriorate rapidly.
Nearby people and relatives immediately took them to Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Hospital.
Before committing the act, Ashok Sharma made a phone call.
He called his nephew Nirmal, who lives in Phulera, Jaipur.
When Nirmal's wife picked up the phone, Ashok said with a heavy heart, "There will be no more talking, goodbye."
Hearing this, the nephew's family got scared and immediately contacted Ajmer.
Ashok's nephew asked his neighbor Gurudutt, who lives in Ajmer, to go to the house.
When Gurudutt reached Ashok Sharma's house, he was shocked by the sight there.
Ashok, Indra, and Diksha were all lying on the bed in agony.
Neighbors took them to the hospital without delay, but the poison had spread in the body.
Ashok Sharma's son Gaurav was present in the house at the time of this tragic incident.
Gaurav works in a private company in Jaipur and had come to Ajmer two days ago.
His parents and sister died in front of his eyes.
Gaurav could not bear this shock and fainted in the hospital itself.
Ashok Sharma used to do furniture work and was troubled for a long time.
Neighbors told the police that Ashok had a debt of lakhs of rupees.
It is believed that the family took this step due to the burden of this debt and mental stress.
However, the police have not yet officially accepted debt as the main reason.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, Adarsh Nagar Police Station CI Omprakash Meena reached with the police team.
The FSL team also inspected the spot minutely and collected evidence.
