Bikaner | A large and alleged fraud under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana has been uncovered in Bikaner district. Shocking cases of fake crop insurance claims being raised in the names of thousands of farmers are coming to light.

In this sequence, a farmer has filed a report with the police, alleging that a sum of lakhs of rupees was embezzled by getting fake insurance policies on his land without his knowledge and consent.

The Game of Fraud on Farmer's Land

The case is from Bagseu village in the Jasrasar police station area. A 60-year-old resident, Bhikhnath son of Kherajnath Siddh, has filed this case against officials of the cooperative society and several other people.

According to the complaint, this fraud was committed on his jointly owned 28.52 hectares of agricultural land. This land is located under various Khasra numbers of farm account number 115.

Insurance Policies Issued Without Consent

Complainant Bhikhnath has alleged that Kailashnath, Sohannath, their mother Rukhma from the same village, and Prakashchandra Saran and his son Tilok Saran from Dudawas colluded.

It is alleged that these individuals got crop insurance on his land between the years 2018 and 2025 without his knowledge and embezzled the claim amount.

Serious Allegations Against Cooperative Society Officials

According to the report, accused Kailashnath is the president of the Bagseu Cooperative Society, while Prakashchandra Saran and Tilok Saran are associated with the society as managers.

The farmer alleged that these individuals misused their positions to get fraudulent insurance policies on different Khasras of his land.

Subsequently, the insurance claim amount was allegedly transferred to the bank accounts of the accused and their acquaintances. The complaint also mentions some policies and amounts, in which lakhs of rupees were sent to other accounts.

Claim Raised by Showing Fake Sharecroppers

The complainant clarified that he never gave his land to anyone for cultivation or sharecropping. Despite this, the accused allegedly prepared fake documents.

These documents showed that his land was being cultivated by a sharecropper. On this basis, crop insurance policies were obtained and the claim amount was embezzled. The complaint also alleges collusion with some Patwaris.

Police Register Case, Investigation Begins

Based on the complainant's report, the police have registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. These include sections 318(4), 316(2), 338, 336(3), and 340(2).

The investigation of the case has been initiated under the leadership of Jasrasar SHO Rakesh Swami. The police are now examining the insurance policies, bank accounts, and revenue records.

Allegation of Bank Account Tampering

The complainant also alleged that a mobile number was linked to his accounts in the Central Co-operative Bank and HDFC Bank without his knowledge. It is alleged that financial transactions were carried out through this number.
