BJP's "A Tree for Mother" Environmental Mega Campaign
Jaipur | On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" (A Tree in Mother's Name) campaign. The nationwide campaign was kicked off with a tree plantation drive led by State President Madan Rathore outside the state headquarters in Jaipur.

"A Tree in Mother's Name": Respect for Motherhood and Nature

BJP State President Madan Rathore described the campaign as a unique initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that this campaign is not limited to nature conservation but is also a symbol of respect for motherhood.

Many senior party officials and workers were present on the occasion, taking a pledge for environmental protection. Rathore informed that this program is being organized at every district and block level in the state.

He added that all public representatives and officials of the party are motivating the general public to join this campaign. The objective is to plant as many trees as possible.

Make Environmental Protection a Mass Movement

Madan Rathore emphasized that merely planting saplings is not enough. He stated that ensuring the survival of the planted saplings is our biggest responsibility.

"Our goal is to ensure a 100% survival rate for the planted saplings. For this, regular monitoring and care systems are being put in place," Rathore said.

He called upon the people of the state to not treat environmental protection as a formal event but to transform it into a mass movement. Every individual should join this campaign, plant saplings, and pledge to protect them.

Balance between Development and Environment: Rathore's Reply to Gehlot

Responding to a statement by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Madan Rathore clarified the government's policy. He said that even if a tree needs to be cut for development work, the government maintains a balance.

Rathore explained that according to the rules, there is a mandatory condition to plant 20 new saplings for every tree cut for development projects. This condition applies to all projects, from road widening to industrial development.

He said that the concerned agencies not only have to carry out the plantation but also have to submit proof of it. This step has been taken to establish harmony between development and the environment.

In conclusion, Rathore appealed to everyone to actively participate in the "A Tree in Mother's Name" campaign, so that we can give a green and clean environment to our future generations.
