Jaipur | In protest against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's sit-in outside the Prime Minister's residence in New Delhi and the disruption of Parliament proceedings, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a massive statewide protest in Jaipur on Wednesday. The protest was also against the alleged stone-pelting at Jantar Mantar.
Under the leadership of BJP State President Madan Rathore, the party organized a huge foot march from the BJP state office to the Congress state office. A large number of women, youth, office-bearers, and workers enthusiastically participated in this march. During the demonstration, slogans were fiercely raised against Congress and Rahul Gandhi.
Opposition's Movement or Political Conspiracy?
Addressing the massive BJP protest, State President Madan Rathore said that the movement run by the opposition in the name of the paper leak was not a student movement but a well-planned political conspiracy.
He claimed that when information was sought about the injured people admitted to hospitals, not a single student was found among them.
Stone-pelters Brought from Outside
Making a serious allegation, Rathore said that Congress had brought hired goons from Kashmir and Bihar for stone-pelting. Their aim was to disrupt the proceedings of the Parliament.
He further added, "Not only this, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, in support of Afzal, and anti-national slogans were raised in the movement. Statements were also made against religious places."
Rathore emphasized that it is necessary to bring the truth of this entire incident before the public. He stated that this protest in Jaipur was organized symbolically to remind the Congress leadership of democratic decorum.
Madan Rathore said that the sit-in by the Leader of the Opposition outside the Prime Minister's residence is contrary to Indian parliamentary traditions. He described it as an act that harms the dignity of democracy.
He also mentioned that during the movement, female media personnel were subjected to indecent behavior and obscenity, which the BJP strongly condemns. Rathore said, "Such indecent incidents in the name of democratic protest cannot be accepted in any civilized society."
Path of Confrontation Instead of Dialogue
The state president said that the Bharatiya Janata Party believes in solutions through dialogue and discussion, whereas the Congress and the opposition are trying to disrupt democratic institutions by using student issues for political gain.
He said that the government has always been ready for discussion in Parliament, but the opposition chose the path of confrontation instead of dialogue, which shows their intolerant mindset towards democracy.
Madan Rathore also shed light on the reasons behind the opposition's demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He said, "Ever since Dharmendra Pradhan became the Education Minister, he has worked to reform the education system. He has worked to honor our great personalities."
Cultural Nationalism in Education
Rathore explained that Dharmendra Pradhan has worked to give due place to Indian culture, history, great men, and folk heroes in the new education policy and education system.
He said, "Earlier, Akbar the Great was taught in our country; Dharmendra Pradhan has worked to teach about Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Tejaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh, Devnarayan."
Rathore alleged that the opposition feels that he will bring about a radical change in education and cultural nationalism will be born here. With this thought, funds were collected abroad to remove him. He expressed confidence that the truth will come out in the investigation.
Showing Congress the Mirror
Rathore also targeted former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He said, "Ashok Gehlot should think that when he was the Chief Minister, paper leaks happened 17 times, university papers were leaked twice. In total, when 19 paper leaks happened, why didn't Ashok Gehlot resign?"
He questioned why the then Education Minister Dotasra did not resign. Rathore said that with what face are they demanding resignation now, they should think and look into their own conscience.

After the BJP's protest, at the state office, BJP Organization General Secretary Ajey Kumar expressed his thanks and gratitude to the public and the workers. He said that the opposition is violating democratic systems to brighten its politics.
