Dotasra alleged that the government has not conducted the census of Scheduled Castes and Tribes for a long time and the BJP is also shying away from a caste census.

He said, "Because there is dishonesty in their minds, these people do not want to do justice to SC/ST and now OBC, and this has been started from Rajasthan."

Claim of major discrepancy in data

The Congress president said that the data provided by the Rajasthan government has discrepancies.

He explained that for the entire Rajasthan, the total OBC population of rural areas shown for Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishad should be the same, there should be no difference.

Dotasra stated, "According to the data provided by the government, there is a difference of several percent in the population of the same district under the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samitis, which cannot be true in reality."

Violation of 50% reservation rule?

Citing the Supreme Court's decision, Dotasra said that there is a 50 percent reservation cap in jobs, but there is no such rule in politics.

He said that even if the 50 percent reservation system for jobs is followed, SC/ST and OBC have not been provided up to 50 percent reservation in Rajasthan.

Cornered the government with district data

He gave examples of several districts where the total reservation is much less than 50 percent.

• In Ajmer, the total reservation is 39.97 percent.
• In Balotra, it is 41.93 percent.
• In Deeg, it is 34.48 percent.
• In Didwana Kuchaman, it is 42.85 percent.
• In Jaisalmer, it is 38 percent.
• In Jhunjhunu, the reservation is only 39 percent.
• In Kotputli-Behror, it is 37 percent.
• In Phalodi, it is 39.13 percent.
• In Sikar, only 40.8 percent reservation has been given.

Dotasra said that a total of 50 percent reservation should have been given to all these categories, but it has been kept below 40 percent.

Allegation of injustice to OBC category

Dotasra said that even in districts where the OBC population is high, fewer seats have been reserved based on population.

He questioned on what basis the government has given how much reservation where, it is beyond comprehension.

In the state, out of 1403 constituencies in 41 Zila Parishads, a recommendation has been made to reserve only 192 wards (13.68%) for OBCs.

He claimed that if the reservation was within the 50 percent limit, 294 wards would have been reserved, thus 102 fewer wards were reserved for OBCs.

Similarly, in 457 Panchayat Samitis with 8245 member constituencies, a recommendation has been made to reserve only 1101 wards (13.35%) for OBCs.

According to Dotasra, within the 50 percent limit, this would have been 1731 wards, resulting in 630 fewer wards being reserved for the OBC category.

Warning of taking to the streets

Dotasra warned that the BJP government is not giving participation to the Scheduled Caste/Tribe and OBC communities based on their population.

He said that all the people of the state will take to the streets to protest against this dictatorship of the BJP government and the BJP will be wiped out in the upcoming municipal and panchayat elections.
