Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasra called the ministers of the BJP government 'petty thieves'.
Dotasra held Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan responsible for the NEET paper leak and demanded his resignation.
Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully termed the deaths of pregnant women in Kota as 'murder' and demanded action against the culprits.
Internal factionalism in the Congress also came to the fore during the event in Kota, with many senior leaders absent.
Kota | Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasra launched a fierce attack on the state's BJP government in Kota on Tuesday. He went as far as calling the government a 'circus' and the ministers 'petty thieves'. Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Tikaram Jully, was also present with him.
Not a Government, a Circus is Running
Speaking to reporters, Dotasra said that there is no such thing as a government in Rajasthan; a circus is running here. Targeting the ministers, he said that no one is listening to them.
The BJP ministers are 'petty thieves'. The ministers assign work in the department, and when that work is not done, they misbehave and abuse them.
Dotasra alleged that the ministers have no control over the officials of their own departments, leading to a chaotic situation in the state.
Dotasra took the central government to task over the NEET paper leak issue. He said that this paper has been leaking continuously for the last three years, but the government was not ready to accept it.
He made a direct allegation, stating that the paper leak mafia has the protection of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Dotasra demanded Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation on moral grounds.
Deaths of Pregnant Women are 'Murder': Jully
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Jully raised the issue of the recent deaths of pregnant women in Kota. He said that these deaths are not normal, but 'murders'.
Jully stated that the medicine report came after 15 days, in which the drug was found to be substandard. He demanded that a case should be registered against the culprits in this matter under the sections of murder.
He also described the death of a principal by falling into a drain and the CBSE copy checking scam as major failures of the government.
Government Cornered on Caste Census
Dotasra said that under the pressure of the Congress campaign, the central government agreed to a caste census, but it has betrayed the interests of the OBCs. He reiterated Rahul Gandhi's slogan 'Jitni bhagidari, utni hissedaari' (representation according to population).
Factionalism Seen in Kota Congress
However, during this event, the internal discord of the Kota Congress also came to the forefront. Despite the presence of Dotasra and Jully, the Congress appeared divided into factions.
Many senior office-bearers, including both the city and rural district presidents, were absent from the program. Dotasra also admitted to the media that there is factionalism in Kota and it will be resolved together soon.
While this visit gave Congress an opportunity to be aggressive against the government, it also highlighted the party's internal challenges. It remains to be seen how the high command handles this factionalism.
