Anticipating a large gathering of supporters, District Collector Tina Dabi has imposed Section 163 in Tonk city, Deoli, and Uniara areas.
The District Collector issued this order on the recommendation of the Superintendent of Police. This decision was taken in view of calls on social media for a large number of supporters to reach the Nagarfort police station and the apprehension of deteriorating law and order.
Under the order, the gathering of 5 or more people without permission, demonstrations, processions, and meetings will be prohibited.
It should be noted that the court had canceled Naresh Meena's bail and instructed him to surrender by August 6.
Naresh Meena was made the main accused in the violence that took place in Samravata during the Deoli-Uniara assembly by-election.
After being in custody for about 8 months, the High Court granted him conditional bail on July 14, 2025. The conditions included not participating in any dharna-protest and staying away from receptions and honors.
It is alleged that he violated these conditions, after which the Nagarfort police filed a petition in the court to cancel his bail.
