Nokha | A major dispute has erupted over the cremation ground of the Rajput community in Talwa village of Nokha tehsil. The Rajput community has unitedly protested against the alleged transfer of the land by the Bishnoi Mahasabha Mukam and the construction of an illegal four-lane road.
On Friday, many dignitaries of the Rajput community from Nokha tehsil gathered at the Rajput Karni Hostel. From here, they collectively registered their objection before the administration.
What is the whole matter?
The protestors allege that an attempt is being made to illegally transfer the centuries-old cremation ground of Talwa village by the Bishnoi Mahasabha. Along with this, an unauthorized four-lane road is also being carved out from the land, which the community is strongly opposing.
There is significant outrage among the community members regarding this issue. They state that this is tampering with their faith and traditions.
Memorandum submitted to the administration
After the meeting at the Rajput Karni Hostel, representatives of the community submitted a memorandum to the Nokha Tehsildar, SDM, and Block Development Officer (BDO). The memorandum demands an immediate halt to this action.
A community representative said, "This is an insult to our sentiments and traditions. We will not tolerate any kind of illegal encroachment on our land."
The protest was attended by Colonel Mohan Singh Dhupaliya, sarpanches from various villages like Bhikh Singh, Sawai Singh, Bhup Singh, Akshay Singh, and a large number of residents from Talwa village and the Rajput community.
The community has warned that if their demands are not addressed, they will intensify the agitation. The administration has assured an investigation into the matter and appropriate action.
