Bikaner | Opposition has begun against the proposal to establish a separate directorate for the operation of girls' military schools. REWA State President Pradeep Joshi has sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister and senior state government officials in this regard.

Opposition to the Formation of a Separate Directorate

The memorandum strongly demands that recruitment, appointment, and posting related tasks for girls' military schools be kept under the Directorate of Secondary Education, Bikaner.

Apprehension of Dual Control

Pradeep Joshi argues that the formation of a separate directorate will create a situation of dual control. This is likely to weaken the position of the Directorate of Secondary Education.

As an alternative, it has been suggested to form a special cell within the Directorate of Secondary Education itself.

Demand for Expansion of the Expert Committee

Joshi described the current four-member committee as inadequate and demanded its dissolution. He suggested forming an 11-member expert committee in its place.

  • Retired Brigadiers and senior NCC officers.
  • Educationists and ex-servicemen.
  • Senior officials of the Directorate of Secondary Education.

The memorandum also urged inviting suggestions from the general public and education personnel through an online portal to maintain transparency.
