Appointment Process Accelerates, Panel Sent to Delhi
The panel of potential names prepared by the state government now awaits final approval from the central leadership. It is believed that appointments will be announced soon after receiving the green signal.
Sources say that the opinion of the organization was also given importance while selecting these names to maintain coordination between the government and the party.
Special attention has been paid to regional, social, and political balance while preparing this list. An effort has been made to ensure representation for all sections.
The list is also said to include the names of leaders who have left the Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the recent past.
Additionally, there is talk of giving opportunities to leaders who have been active in the organization for a long time and have handled various responsibilities.
The Tradition of Rajasthan Politics
Political experts believe that this has been a tradition in Rajasthan politics. Governments try to strike a balance through political appointments after completing two and a half to three years of their term.
The BJP government has also crossed the midpoint of its term, so appointments to many important posts are expected soon.
Currently, top posts in many important institutions and commissions, including the Lokayukta, are vacant. Previously, the Rajasthan High Court had to intervene due to delays in appointments.
The Case of the Previous Congress Government
The previous Congress government had also made more than 70 appointments to various posts during its tenure. Among them, 4 leaders were given the status of cabinet minister and more than 31 were given the status of state minister.
Many of these appointments were made just before the assembly elections, due to which some leaders could not even take charge because of the imposition of the model code of conduct.
The Rajasthan government has made about 12 important appointments so far. Recently, on June 20, Professor Santosh Anand and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma were appointed as RPSC members.
Along with this, Hanuman Singh Rathore has been made the Chairman of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. Before this, Arun Chaturvedi was appointed as the Chairman of the State Finance Commission in August 2025.
