Under this, domestic tourism will now be given priority in school educational tour programs. This decision has been taken in line with the national mandate that emerged from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, chaired by the Prime Minister.

District Education Officer of the Directorate of Secondary Education, Dr. Ram Gopal Sharma, has issued instructions to all Divisional Joint Directors of the state in this regard.

The instructions clearly state that the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is emphasizing increasing the number of domestic tourists through organized tours of students and youth delegations.
