Highlighting the profound secrets of the Mandukya Upanishad, he stated that self-realization and detachment are the divine paths that lead a person to the ultimate goal of salvation.
Self-Realization and Detachment are the Path to Moksha
This festival was organized by Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda amidst the cows on the sacred land of Arbudaranya, under the guidance of Param Shraddheya Gorishi Swami Shri Dattasharananandji Maharajshri.
Explaining the invocation verse "Artheshvabhijnah Svarat" from the Srimad Bhagavatam, Shankaracharya ji said that the Supreme Being is omniscient, completely independent, and the sole controller of the entire creation.
He explained that God is fully aware of the actions of every living being, its consequences, and the appropriate place, time, and circumstances for delivering those results. He is not dependent on anyone but is the independent master of the entire universe.
Renunciation of Attachment is True Detachment
In his address, Shankaracharya ji Maharaj said that the true purpose of Brahmavidya (knowledge of the Absolute) is to free a person from the false pride of qualities, titles, and non-self substances and to make them realize their pure self-form.
He clarified that renunciation does not mean leaving the world, but rather renouncing attachment to non-self objects. This true detachment leads a person towards immortality and salvation.
Control over the Senses is Necessary
He said that God has given humans a discerning intellect and senses. Although the senses are naturally attracted to objects, humans have the wonderful ability to control them and turn them inwards.
The path to self-welfare is paved only when the mind turns away from worldly desires and engages in the contemplation of the Supreme Being.
The Impermanence of Worldly Relationships
Shedding light on the impermanence of worldly relationships, he said that the more a person is bound by attachment and affection, the more they accept the bonds of suffering.
He stated that Vedanta does not forbid worldly dealings but gives the message to renounce the attachment inherent in relationships. This discernment frees a person from sorrow and allows them to experience inner peace and bliss.
Concluding the sermon, Pujya Shankaracharya ji Maharaj said that the same mind with which a person contemplates the world, if turned towards the Supreme Being, becomes the means of salvation.
On this occasion, thousands of cow devotees including Govats Radhakrishnaji Maharaj, Rishichaitanyaji Maharaj, Raghunathsingh Shivtalav, Utsav Manorathi Nemaramji Amaraji Amli, Katha Manorathi Champalal Sayla, Babulalji Tararamji Jetpura, Bhabhutaram Purohit, Kailash Santhu, Mishrimal Vijayawada, Balwantraj Ankhol, CEO Alok Singhal, Haribhagwan Bang, Sanwalaram Vagawas, Biharilal Basant were present.
321 Devotees Performed Cow Worship
Under the Chaturmas Mahotsav, on Sunday, a large group of 321 devotees led by the Bohra family of Raniwara reached the Keshua Gaushala in Nandgaon.
The devotees performed cow worship with rituals, offered aarti, and took a pledge for cow service.
After this, all the devotees went for the darshan of Dwarkadheesh Shankaracharya ji Maharaj, where they had a divine experience of the spiritual atmosphere by participating in the katha recitation and evening aarti.
During the journey, the devotees also received the darshan and blessings of Datt Sharananand Maharaj.
