Bikaner Range Police has executed a historic action against drugs. Under the leadership of IGP Om Prakash, the police have successfully destroyed narcotics valued at approximately 200 crore rupees. This is one of the largest drug destruction campaigns ever conducted in the Bikaner range.

Biggest Action Against Drugs

This major operation was carried out at a cement factory located in Rajiyasar, Sriganganagar district. The significant campaign was personally presided over by the Inspector General of Police, Bikaner Range, Om Prakash.

During the operation, Sriganganagar Superintendent of Police Harishankar and Hanumangarh Superintendent of Police B. Aditya, along with police officers and personnel from various stations, were also present.

Action Taken on Court Orders

The police stated that the process of physical verification under Section 52A (2) of the NDPS Act had been completed by the court. Only after this was the step taken to destroy the seized narcotics by burning them.

Narcotics Seized from Various Districts

In this campaign, materials seized in a total of 102 NDPS cases were destroyed. This included narcotics recovered from Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.

  • 75 kg 11 grams of Heroin in 10 cases
  • 9 kg 197 grams of Smack/Heroin in 91 cases
  • 3 kg 92 grams of Ganja
  • 672 kg 642 grams of Poppy Husk
  • 1690 intoxicating tablets

Narcotics Destroyed in Hanumangarh District:

  • 5 kg 712 grams of MD (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) in 1 case

Increased Surveillance in Border Areas

According to police officials, surveillance has been further intensified in the border areas following this action. The commitment to continue taking action against the smuggling network has been reiterated.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

Bikaner Range Police has also appealed to the general public to cooperate in this campaign. The police have urged people to come forward openly against drugs and immediately inform the police about any suspicious person or activity. This cooperation will help in completely dismantling the drug network.
