Bikaner | A special campaign is being run by the Bikaner Range Police against the smuggling of narcotics and illegal liquor. Under this campaign named 'Operation Neelkanth', the police are continuously taking effective action, causing a stir among drug smugglers.

This campaign is being conducted under the direction of Inspector General of Police, Bikaner Range, Omprakash, and Superintendent of Police, Bikaner, Mridul Kachhawa. Great successes have been achieved in different police station areas under this operation.

Operation Neelkanth: Police's Swift Actions

The police have raided various locations and recovered opium, poppy husk, and illegal English liquor worth lakhs of rupees. Many smugglers have also been arrested in this action.

Ranjeetpura Police Station: 1.335 kg Poppy Husk Seized from a Field

The team from Ranjeetpura police station carried out a significant operation on August 8. The team recovered 1.335 kilograms of illegal poppy husk from the field of Ramchandra son of Rajaram Vishnoi (36) in the Chak 04 RM area.

The police have arrested the accused and registered a case against him under the NDPS Act. Further investigation of the case has been handed over to Bajju Station House Officer Chandrajeet Singh Bhati. The role of Constable Lalaram has been described as crucial in this action.

Deshnok Police Station: 40.17 grams of Opium Recovered from Scorpio

Deshnok police have also tightened the noose on drug smugglers. During a blockade and hotel-dhaba checking, the police recovered 40.17 grams of illegal opium from an unnumbered Scorpio vehicle.

In this case, the police have arrested three accused, identified as Sunil (30), Mangilal (23), and Kailash (29). All are residents of the Bhojasar police station area in Phalodi district. The police have also seized the vehicle.

Mahajan Area: Liquor Worth 25 Lakhs, Smuggled from Punjab to Gujarat

Mahajan police, in a major operation on the Arjansar-Pallu Mega Highway, have seized a large consignment of illegal liquor. The police seized 465 cases of Chandigarh-made illegal English liquor from a canter.

The estimated value of the seized liquor is said to be around 25 lakh rupees. Preliminary investigation has revealed that this consignment was being transported from Punjab to Gujarat.

The police have seized the liquor-laden canter (RJ04GD1514) and arrested the driver, Dinesh Kumar Vishnoi (45). Additionally, the police have also secured an escort vehicle, a Fortuner, and have started interrogating two suspects, Satpal alias Naina and Sushil Kumar.

Two Accused Also Arrested in Arjansar Burglary

Along with the campaign against drug trafficking, the Deshnok police have also taken action in a burglary case in the Arjansar area. The police have arrested two accused in this case, who are being interrogated. According to the police, criminal cases have been previously registered against these accused.

Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa has clarified that the campaign against drug trafficking and illegal liquor will continue in the district. He stated that strict action will be taken against individuals involved in such cases.
