Grand Abhishek with 21 pots of Gangajal at Vanshivat Farm; Lord enters 15-day Anavasar period.
The festival was organized under the guidance of Gajendra Pati Vishnu Das Maharaj, the in-charge of ISKCON Bundi.
On this special occasion, a grand abhishek of Lord Jagannath, Baldev, and Subhadra Maharani took place.
The temple management had specially arranged for holy Gangajal from Haridwar for the abhishek.
When the Mahabhishek was performed with 21 pots, the entire premises echoed with chants of 'Jai Jagannath'.
There was also light rain during the program, but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the devotees.
During the bhajan sandhya and kirtan, devotees were seen diving into the ocean of devotion. A beautiful katha made the atmosphere even more divine.
Social worker Purushottam Pareek shed light on the religious significance of the occasion.
He explained that according to religious beliefs, after Snan Purnima, Lord Jagannath rests for 15 days in the 'Anavasar' period. During this time, he is considered to be unwell.
For this reason, regular darshan at the temple will remain closed, and now the Lord will give darshan to the devotees only on the Rath Yatra festival.
Many dedicated workers, including Vivek Sharma, Kailash Gupta, Advocate Sanjay Singh, Gyanendra Singh Hada, Ritesh Agarwal, Yogesh Soni, Karan Bhati, Advocate Sudhir Sharma, and Amit Gautam, made significant contributions to make this festival a success.
