In Dhansa, a daughter traveled 40 km to file a vehicle theft report despite her father's illness, but the police allegedly refused to file an FIR.
The victim, Preeti Kumari, daughter of Jagdish Kumar Sant, a resident of Dhansa, reached the police station and submitted a written report of the theft incident.
She alleges that the police neither registered her FIR nor provided her with a copy of the report, which has increased the family's anxiety.
Preeti Kumari stated that on Saturday night, while all family members were asleep, unknown thieves opened the door of the house.
The thieves stole the two-wheeler parked inside the house. The family discovered the incident in the morning when they did not find the vehicle in its place.
When Preeti reached the Ramsin police station with the hope of action, she received a surprising response.
She was told that the report could not be registered because it was the last day of the month. It is alleged that departmental officials said the report would be filed after the first of the month.
After this incident, there is anger among the victim's family and the villagers. They question why there is a delay in action when the theft has already occurred and the complainant has reached the police station.
The villagers have demanded that the police immediately register the report, start an investigation, and find the stolen vehicle as soon as possible.
