The Indian Air Force has started recruitment for Agniveer Vayu and Group-Y Medical Assistant posts. Interested candidates can apply online until July 26, 2026.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has initiated the application process for recruitment to the posts of Agniveer Vayu and Group-'Y' Medical Assistant. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website.
The last date to apply has been set as July 26, 2026. The online examination for this recruitment will be conducted on September 22 and 23, 2026.
Wing Commander Nancy Maheshwari, Commanding Officer of the Airmen Selection Centre, Jodhpur, has released information regarding this recruitment.
According to the released information, both male and female candidates can apply for the Agniveer Vayu posts.
However, the Group-'Y' Medical Assistant post is reserved only for male Indian and Gorkha (Nepal) citizens.
Different educational qualifications and age limits have been set for these posts, the details of which are given below.
The age of the candidate applying for the Agniveer Vayu post should be between 16.5 and 21 years. It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed the 12th class with a minimum of 50 percent marks. Also, 50 percent marks in the English subject are required. Candidates with a three-year engineering diploma or a two-year vocational course will also be eligible for this post. This recruitment will be for a period of four years.
For this post, the age limit for candidates who have passed 12th (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) is 16 to 20 years. For Diploma/B.Pharma/B.Sc. Pharmacy holders, the age limit is set from 18 to 23 years. A minimum of 50 percent marks and 50 percent marks in English are also necessary for these candidates.
The recruitment process will be completed in a total of three stages. It will be mandatory for candidates to succeed in all stages.
First Stage: An online written examination will be conducted.
Second Stage: In this stage, successful candidates will undergo Document Verification (DV) and Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The PFT will include a 1.6 km run, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
Third Stage: A detailed medical examination will be conducted in the final stage.

The application fee is fixed at ₹550. It is mandatory for candidates to bring their Aadhaar card to the examination center. Additionally, the latest photograph as per the prescribed standards must be uploaded.
