On this special occasion of the birthday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis sent letters to convey their birthday wishes to the revered Maharaj Shri and sought his blessings.

Program Commenced with Cow Worship

The Vardhapan Divas began in the morning with the worship of Gomata (the cow). The revered Jagadguru Maharaj worshipped Gomata in line with the tradition of cow service and protection at Pathmeda Godham.

Following this, Lord Govardhan was worshipped along with the revered Gaurishi Datt Sharananand Ji.

Message of Dharma and Knowledge

After the Surabhi Gopujan and Govardhan Pujan, Maharaj Shri proceeded for cow grazing. Later, he gave his darshan to the devotees and delivered a message of dharma, knowledge, guru-bhakti, philanthropy, and self-reflection.

Release of Gujarati Translation of 'Vivekachudamani'

A major highlight of the ceremony was the release of the Gujarati translation of the great Advaita Vedanta text 'Vivekachudamani', authored by Adi Shankaracharya.

The original Sanskrit text and its Hindi translation were previously prepared by Brahmachari Shri Nirvikalpa Swaroop Ji, while its Gujarati translation was done by Shri Gautam Patel of Gujarat.

This important book was released by the hands of Jagadguru Swami Sadanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj.

Message of Mind's Purity through Satsang

In his blessings, the Jagadguru Maharaj explained that dharma is not limited to worship methods but is connected to life's conduct, discretion, duty, and public welfare.

Highlighting the importance of Satsang, he said that it is not necessary to remember every word of a Satsang, but its influence purifies the mind.

Importance of Love and Discretion

Citing the episode of Shri Ram and Vishwamitra, Maharaj Shri explained the importance of love and a guru's discretion. He said that when love is combined with a guru's discretion, it becomes dharma, not attachment.

Through Vedanta, he simply explained the principles of Maya, Jiva, Ishvara, Atma, and Advaita.

Special Message for the Youth

In his message to the youth, he said that talent is not just a degree, knowledge is not just memorization, wealth is not just accumulation, and dharma is not just worship.

He further stated that life becomes meaningful only when knowledge becomes discretion, discretion becomes conduct, and conduct becomes a medium for public welfare.

With this auspicious sentiment, the sacred birthday of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Sadanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj concluded in Nandgaon as a unique confluence of cow service, guru-devotion, Vedanta knowledge, saintly company, and religious contemplation.
